Why might I need to take a probiotic?
Some people have damaged their intestinal linings or friendly bacteria from illness, medications, stress, poor air quality, diet or other causes and are not maintaining a consistent high level of good bacteria.

About Flora Source® Multi-Probiotic®:
Flora Source® Multi-probiotic® has 16 strains and 16 billion cells per capsule at time of manufacture. It is matrix encapsulated to ensure shelf life and stability. It does not require refrigeration so it is convenient to take it wherever you are going. We do not enterically coat our probiotics, instead we grow our probiotics to be acid resistant.

How do I take Flora Source?
We suggest that you start by taking 2 capsules and adjust from there. Your body will tell you if you need to take more or less. We also suggest that you take them with a small amount of food, as current studies suggest that taking a probiotic with a small amount of food is more effective. It states on the label that you may take up to 4 daily.

How long does it take to see results with Flora Source? What are some of the benefits that I may see?
Our customers say that they typically see results from about 1-4 weeks. It is an all natural product, so it does take some time to get into your system. Although results vary from customer to customer, it may help maintain normal healthy digestion and immune function, promote normal low levels of yeast, normal bowel function, and clear healthy skin. If you are interested in how it might benefit your particular needs, we encourage you to speak with your health care provider.

I recently received this question on "Ask Jenn" from Louie. It's a question I hear often from Nutri-Health customers:

"I've had some help using Activia flavored proactive yogurt this past month. I intend to buy refrigerated capsules. They warn of keeping them cold and alive. Why don't your products need to be kept alive that way? Mailing to hot mailboxes for instance. What about buying your dated stock at a discount and what if they xpire?"

Nutri-Health products are matrix encapsulated. Before the probiotics are frozen, natural saccarides and polymers (think carbohydrates) are added as "protectants." These "protectants" surround the probiotic cell walls, preventing moisture from rupturing the cell wall during the freezing process. The saccarides and polymers eventually form a "matrix" that "encapsulates" the probiotics. This process is tweaked and perfected to yield optimal stability, thus allowing our product to be shelf stable.

The expiration date on the bottle is consistent with the expiration date of the raw ingredients. Although we do not believe that probiotics will harm you, we do not believe they will be any beneift to you either.

Thanks for your question Louie!
